Clothing work desktop in leather.

Downsides:
- You will have to use coasters.
- You will have to immediately clean up anything you spill on it.
(Be sure you always have a full kichen roll available.)
- You will get discolouration from normal use.
- Diminished ability to write on paper.
- A lot of upkeep required to keep clean.
- Will get minor usage dents and other marks (also known as character).

Upsides:
- Looks extremely good.
- Increased comfort.
- You can colour it match your furniture.
- Protects table from damage, which quick, cheeper, and easier to replace.)
(And if you replace it, you can probably reuse almost all of it for other
 leatherwork.)

Measure your table, and include the edges, and add 4 cm to each dimension
(that is, 2 cm will be used for each edge on the table's underside).
This should be a one piece leather without any holes or damages for this
entire area. 25 ft² will probably do, but talk to your retailer. Make sure
you select a leather that's actually comfortable; furniture leather will
probably be a good choice. Additionally it should have medium thickness.

On the bottom of the table, you'll use use double-sided leather tape to
attach the leather to the table.

Coat the leather in beeswax.
