.SH DESCRIPTION
The
.BR libcontacts_same_number ()
function checks whether the telephone numbers specified
in the
.I a
and
.I b
parameters are the same number.

The country calling code for
.I a
and
.I b
may be specified in the
.I a_country
and
.I b_country
parameters respectively. If the empty string is specified
as a country calling code, it is treated as unspecified.

will be added automatically if it, or its alternative
.B \(dq+\(dq
is missing.
.SH RETURN VALUE
The
.BR libcontacts_same_number ()
function returns 1 or 0 upon successful completion;
otherwise -1 is returned and
.I errno
is set appropriately to indicate the error.
If the returned value is 1, the numbers match,
if the returned value is 0, the numbers do not match.

The
.BR libcontacts_same_number ()
function will fail if:
