.SH DESCRIPTION
The
.B LIBUTF8_ALLOW_LONG_ENCODING
macro is a flag for
.BR libutf8_decode (3)
and
.BR libutf8_decode_mem (3).
It causes those functions to accept overlong UTF-8 encodings
of up to six bytes, including the two-byte overlong encoding
of U+0000.

.BR LIBUTF8_ALLOW_2BYTE_NULL (3).
The two flags need not be combined.
