.SH DESCRIPTION
The
.BR libtellurian_transverse_radius ()
function calculates the Earth's transverse radius of
curvature (prime-vertial radius of curvature; the
curvature in the east–west direction), at a given
.IR latitude .

shall be specified according to GPS and in degrees.

The
.BR libtellurian_transverse_radius_radians ()
function is identical to the
.BR libtellurian_transverse_radius ()
function except that
.I latitude
shall be specified in radians.

.SH RETURN VALUE
The
.BR libtellurian_transverse_radius ()
and
.BR libtellurian_transverse_radius_radians ()
functions return the radius of curvature
measured in meters.
