functions calculates the diffence of

is subtracted by

and stores the result in
.IR diff .
.SH RETURN VALUE
The
.BR libsimple_difftimespec ()
and
.BR libsimple_difftimeval ()
functions return 0 on successful completion;
otherwise, \-1 is returned and
.I errno
is set to indicate the error.

The

functions fail if:

The result is too large or too small to be stored; if the
